Who we are
thehermeticflight.com ("the site") is run by Quigley Multimedia LLC ("we," "us"), a Washington company. This policy explains what the site collects, where it goes, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. It covers the website, our emails, and orders and tickets bought through the site. The Hermetic Flight app has its own privacy policy.
What we collect, and why
When you take the quiz. Your answers and the archetype they produce. If you ask for your result by email, we also collect your email address and, if you give it, your first name. We use these to send your result and the email series that goes with it.
When you sign up for updates. Your email address, your first name if you give it, and which list you joined (for example, launch news or the archetype journey).
When you answer a survey. Your answers, and your email address if the survey link was sent to you by email. We use them to plan the deck, the app and our events.
When you buy something. Checkout is run by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment card details; we never see or store your full card number. From Stripe we receive:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Billing location, which Stripe uses to calculate sales tax
- Shipping address, for deck orders (United States only on this run)
- What you bought, how many, the amount paid, and the order reference
We use this to fulfil your order, send order and shipping emails, honor refunds, prepare event guest lists, and keep the records the law requires.
When you email us. Your email address and whatever you write, so we can answer you.
Automatically, when you visit. Like most websites, the site and its analytics tools receive your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the page that sent you here, and the time of your visit. See "Analytics and advertising" below.
We don't ask for your age, gender, or any other demographic information, and we don't collect information about your health.
Analytics and advertising
We use these tools on the site's public pages:
- Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages people use.
- The Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to quiz sign-ups and orders. When you sign up, we send Meta the sign-up, your email address and first name in hashed (scrambled) form, and for some sign-ups your quiz archetype. When you buy, we send the purchase and its value. Meta also receives its cookie IDs from your browser, your IP address and your browser type. Meta matches these to its own users to report how our ads performed, and may use them to improve ad delivery.
These tools set their own cookies (for example _ga from Google and _fbp from Meta). The site also sets its own cookie, thf_sub, to remember that you've signed up so we don't ask again. We don't run ads on our own site.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and manage how Meta uses data in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
We don't sell your information
Quigley Multimedia LLC does not sell your personal information, and does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to anyone. Some state laws give you the right to opt out of the sale or disclosure of your personal information. To make that request, email contact@thehermeticflight.com or use our contact page.
Who we share it with
We share information with these companies, which run parts of the site for us or, in Meta's case, measure our ads:
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Supabase stores our order records, survey answers, and your answers to the product questions at the end of the quiz.
- Stripe, our payment processor, handles payments and calculates tax.
- Loops sends our emails and keeps our mailing list (including your quiz answers and result, which lists you joined, the ad-campaign tags from the link that brought you to the site, and order details for confirmation emails).
- Resend delivers download emails for digital products.
- Google (Fonts, Analytics and Tag Manager) and Meta (Pixel and Conversions API), as described above.
We also share information when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to protect our rights. If the business is ever sold, merged or wound down, customer records may pass to the new owner, who must keep honoring this policy for information collected under it.
How long we keep things
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your address marked "unsubscribed" so we don't email you again by mistake. Ask us and we'll delete it entirely.
- Orders and tickets: five years after the purchase, because tax and accounting rules require it.
- Survey answers: until we've finished using them for the purpose stated in the survey.
- Emails you send us: as long as we need them to help you.
- Analytics: Google Analytics keeps detailed visit data for up to 14 months. Meta keeps data under its own policies.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Email contact@thehermeticflight.com from the address you used with us. We'll answer within 30 days, or sooner if your state's law requires it.
Some records we must keep even if you ask us to delete them, mainly order records needed for taxes, refunds and legal claims. If we can't do what you asked, we'll tell you why. If you disagree with our answer, reply to say so and we'll look at it again. If we still can't help, you can contact your state's attorney general.
Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Order and ticket emails are not marketing; you'll get those even after you unsubscribe.
Age
The site is meant for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think someone under 18 has given us their information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Payment details go directly to Stripe. Our order records are kept in services that require a login and limit who can see them. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also put a notice on the site or email the people it affects.
